Immersive Mobility Programme - IRP

After participating in the online course, trainees were able to participate in an Immersive Residential Programme, which had a total duration of 7 days (5 days of training, 2 days of travel) in Miranda do Corvo, Portugal.

The participants stayed in a suitably designed environment together with young people from 1-2 partner countries and had the opportunity to participate in a program of interactive workshops, educational interventions as well as experiential activities, such as mountain hiking, horse riding, and other cultural events.

The IRP took place in Miranda do Corvo, a municipality located in the Coimbra region of central Portugal.

With the exception of some experiential activities, the IRP programme activities were delivered within Miranda do Corvo.

All IRP participants – including partner accompanying staff – stayed at the Hotel Parque Serra da Lousã in Miranda do Corvo. The majority of ‘desk-based’ activities – including agenda-setting, problem-solving workshops, and reflection activities, took place in the Conference Centre of the Hotel Parque Serra da Lousã. The experiential activities – for example, the visits to the Ecumenical Temple and Waterfall, and the ‘Tame the Mountain’ walk - took place in the local area, with additional experiential activities, including the ‘Roman settlement’ and ‘Fado’ activities, taking place in the nearby locations of Conimbriga and Coimbra.
